Get the gak out of your fething heads, CIA

I had to borrow a bit from one of my favorite authors to state just how I feel about the CIA/FBI breaking up the Russian sleeper cell here in the U.S. I'm going to assume that everything is as it is stated in the news (I'm assuming much, here). If it is all true then cracking open the cell now was the absolute dumbest thing for them to do. I've been stewing about this since the news broke. The Soviets were absolute masters at planting agents within governments and important organizations since well before WWII. The Soviets/Russians are a patient people when it comes to deep cover agents. We should have shown that we have the ability to at least watch those agents.

This was the perfect opportunity to monitor and study Russian tactics and methodology. Heck, one of the agents was "hiding" in plain sight with Facebook photos and a legal record of divorce. We could have sat back and counter-hacked their mission, seeing as how an FBI agent was able to penetrate their network. These cells tend to work through cut-outs and the handlers in Moscow may never have been the wiser. Pure gold. Of course Obama and team can take a golden opportunity and turn it to pure crap.

What were they thinking? What did they think they were doing breaking up that ring? Pulling attention away from Obama's problems? Making him look sharp and protective? Detecting things that Bush could not?

Man, the lost opportunity there to learn their tactics and get in on the inside. What we may have learned.

Thanks, gak-head. Fething moron.
